VM AX 2012 R2 license file expired, need to update for 2014

02 Jan

First of all, happy New Year 2014.

First day after getting back to work, I faced a new challenge. I can’t open AX development workspace in any of my VM machines. It turns out license file for AX is only valid for year 2013. We need to update license file in order to use in 2014.

Step 1: Please download the file from this link

clouddownload

Step 2: Go to: System Administration > Licensing > License information

Step 3: Load license file and synchronize table

Step 4: Once synchronization is complete, close AX client and reopen again. You should be able to open development workspace

Happy DAXing 2014.

Unfortunately, in general we can only access to usr layer for VM machine through partnersource. I believe you have to be a partner or you are doing ISV development works with Microsoft then you will have different license file which gives you access to other layers.

    Dear Hai Nguyen,
I want to change interface language from English to Vietnamese in Dynamics ax 2012 r3 but in AX R3 đin’t have Vietnamese language.
Can you give me some suggestion how to do that ?
Best regard and many thanks !!!!

To set a user’s default language

1> From a Microsoft Dynamics AX client, click File > Tools > Options.
2> In the Language field, select a language for your user interface.
3> In the Alternate help language field, select a help language if it differs from the user interface language.
    4>Click Close.

For your changes to take effect, you must close and restart Microsoft Dynamics AX.

But, in my Language field and Alternate help language show only “En-US”.

Look like other languages are not supported. Remember this is only for demo purposes not actual license.

    Thanks Hai Nguyen,
    I read this : https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/nav/2015/02/12/announcing-the-microsoft-dynamics-erp-translation-solution/
They said that They have tool for translate language.
Do you have any ideal about that ?
