VM License Expired

If you try to run your VM R2 or R3, you will receive an information like below. Your VM license was expired on DEC 31, 2014 and it needs to renew.

How to verify:
System Administration > License Information .

If this shows 12/31/2014, you will need to load a new license file

Solution: You can use either step 1A or step 1B

Step 2:
System Administration > License Information > Load License file and prompt for the license file > Yes to synchronize

It is going to take a while to synchronize  the DB . Once it is complete, you should see this

I tested with R3 but it should work for both R2 and R3.

VM AX 2012 R2 license file expired, need to update for 2014

First of all, happy New Year 2014.

First day after getting back to work, I faced a new challenge. I can’t open AX development workspace in any of my VM machines. It turns out license file for AX is only valid for year 2013. We need to update license file in order to use in 2014.

Step 1: Please download the file from this link

Step 2: Go to: System Administration > Licensing > License information

Step 3: Load license file and synchronize table

Step 4: Once synchronization is complete, close AX client and reopen again. You should be able to open development workspace
